The Scarf Project

I have spent the past three years knitting birthday scarves and felted purses for each of the 72 staff members at my library. I have tried to use a different yarn, technique or stitch with each scarf. I have included patterns for the scarves on my blog. When this project is done I'll start to knit more ambitious projects.

A Brown Wool Scarf for Tim

Tim requested brown for his birthday scarf. After working with so many fancy furs and other colorful yarns it was a change to work with plain wool. I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease Chunky Yarn in Walnut. The pattern is a Thick and Thin Basketweave. It's worked on size 10 1/2 needles. It took two skeins to make this scarf.
